Cafasia - 8th St Between University and Greene...

Long Rows of Community Tables.
We were a party of 15.
8:45 Reservation. 9:30 Sat Down.

Waitress was wonderful, didn't think she was going to be able to pull it off, but was good.

I started with the braised Tamarind short ribs - flavor was good, the ribs fell off the bone. Good size portion (4 BIG bones). I would order them again but ask for it well done. I like some charcoal/grill flavor.

We ordered a special crispy shrimp with chili dipping sauce. Good. Fried. Nothing special. (they weren't very hot)

Chicken Pad Se Ew - really good.
Chicken Pad Tai - standard. nothing special.

Tofu Massaman and Fried thin bread. "best part of the meal"

Crab Rangoon - Deep Fried with Doodie

Chicken Lafka - CHicken with Noodles and curry. Definitely Order it again.

Chicken and Green curry - very spicy, would not order it again. alot of sprouts.

Udon Noodles - BOMB! SPicy as all hell. Really good with chicken or any protein.

Pork Chops - Thin. In Teriyaki sauce. with weird noodles. Not a fan.

2nd Part of the Evening was Chinatown Brasserie for drinks. There is a cool Koi pond below the stairs when you walk down to the downstairs bar. There are chicy private tables built into the wall. BEER ALERT!: This place only offers 4 or 5 beers. KIRIN LIGHT, AMSTEL LIGHT (not advertised), Shanghai Somthing, Chimay. All beers at $8 except the Chimay for 11$. Got pretty packed pretty quickly around 12:15/:30.
